How to Prepare for Your In-Person Visit at the Clinic

We look forward to meeting you in the clinic!

We are looking forward to seeing you at your appointment!

This page contains very important information about your upcoming visit and how to prepare.

Please bring a face mask or cloth covering with you to the clinic. We require that you wear a face mask or cloth covering for the duration of your treatment.

Upon arrival at the clinic, please stay in your car and text 562-310-1948 to let us know you arrived. We will text you back to let you know when your room is ready for you to enter.

We will also send you pre-screening questions 24 hours before your appointment to complete ahead of time regarding COVID-19 Safety and Prevention.

For your treatment, it is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled over the knees and elbows.

Make sure that you have eaten at least an hour or two before your treatment. Please try to avoid eating or drinking anything that can stain your tongue like coffee, tea, juice, colored cough drops or candy. We will be looking at your tongue as part of our diagnosis and we want it to look like it normally does.

Please be aware that if it’s your first-time getting acupuncture, you may feel tired and want to rest after your treatment. Most people find they sleep better after treatment.

Please read our COVID-19 Policies and Pre-screening questions– it contains very important information on how to prepare for your visit.

For herbal medicine and product orders, you will get an invoice through our Dispensary Tree. Upon receipt of your payment, we will prepare your order.

Insurance

We only bill a limited number of insurance companies. We are an in-network provider for some Blue Shield PPO Plans. We are out-of-network with PPO plans such as Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, and United Healthcare.

Many insurance policies cover acupuncture, however policies can vary greatly in terms of deductible and percentage of coverage for acupuncture.  We suggest you verify your insurance benefits with your carrier as quoted benefits are not a guarantee of coverage. Insurance does not cover the cost of herbal medicine and supplements.

As a courtesy to you, we will verify your coverage, as well as submit your claims. Please call our office before your appointment to verify your insurance.
