Your In-Person Visit at the Clinic

For your treatment, it is best to wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be rolled over the knees and elbows.
Make sure that you have eaten at least an hour or two before your treatment. Please try to avoid eating or drinking anything that can stain your tongue like coffee, tea, juice, colored cough drops or candy. We will be looking at your tongue as part of our diagnosis and we want it to look like it normally does.
Please be aware that if it’s your first-time getting acupuncture, you may feel tired and want to rest after your treatment. Most people find they sleep better after treatment.
As a courtesy to other patients and to our practitioner, please notify us 24 hours in advance if you cannot keep your appointment. Please keep in mind that this time has been set aside for you and cannot be used for anyone else if you do not give advance notice. All missed appointments or cancellation notices given less than 24 hours prior to appointments will be charged be charged a $50.00 fee. Valid emergencies are, of course, an exception. Thank you for your understanding.
We accept payment in cash, credit, debit, and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) cards. All payments are due at the time of service.
When your appointment is booked, you will receive an invoice from Square, a secure payment system. Payments for visits will be taken in advance of your appointment to lessen the time spent in the waiting room. This will minimize contact with staff and other patients.
For herbal medicine and product orders, you will get an invoice through our Dispensary Tree. Upon receipt of your payment, we will prepare your order.
We only bill a limited number of insurance companies. We are an in-network provider for some Blue Shield PPO Plans. We are out-of-network with PPO plans such as Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, and United Healthcare.
Many insurance policies cover acupuncture, however policies can vary greatly in terms of deductible and percentage of coverage for acupuncture. We suggest you verify your insurance benefits with your carrier as quoted benefits are not a guarantee of coverage. Insurance does not cover the cost of herbal medicine and supplements.
As a courtesy to you, we will verify your coverage, as well as submit your claims. Please provide us with the following information:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Phone number
- Insurance carrier
- Subscriber/Member ID
- Copy of the front and the back of your card
- Condition/s for which you are seeking treatment
