Insurance for Acupuncture
We don't accept insurance for our integrative medicine appointments. Some insurances may cover acupuncture treatment but only for certain conditions such as the treatment of chronic pain and nausea. It’s best if you check with your insurance carrier first to find out your benefits and coverage. Before booking an appointment for acupuncture, please let us know if you plan on using your insurance plan.
We are out-of-network for all insurance plans.
We accept PPO insurance plans, ILWU/PMA Insurance, HSA/Flexible Spending Accounts.
We do not accept Medi-Cal, Medicare, or HMO plans.
For other plans, we can provide a receipt you can send to your insurance called a “superbill.”
Please contact us to verify your insurance benefits before your first visit. Verification of insurance is not a guarantee of insurance payment. You will be billed for what insurance does not pay. If we are not able to verify your insurance before your first visit, you will pay at the time of service.
Deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance varies depending on your acupuncture coverage.
Insurance does not cover the cost of herbal medicine and supplements.
Please see our cancellation policy below.
