Other Modalities

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy used for thousands of years throughout Asia. An herb called mugwort or wormwood is burned near acupuncture points to produce warmth that penetrates deeply inside the body to promote circulation. The therapeutic heat produced by moxibustion enhances acupuncture’s healing effects when used together. It is used to maintain general health and promote healing.

We also offer special Loquat Moxibustion Therapy. Loquat contains special healing properties that can help promote blood circulation, recover from fatigue, and alleviate pain and muscle stiffness.

Cupping therapy is part of East Asian Medicine where special cups, made of either glass or plastic, are placed on the skin to create a vacuum or suction. It promotes qi and blood circulation to help relieve muscle tension. Cupping is commonly used to treat aches and pains as well as treating colds, coughs, and wheezing.

Tuina is part of East Asian Medicine manipulation therapy to remove blockages in the body. Practitioners may brush, knead, roll, press, and/or rub different parts of the body. It treats musculoskeletal conditions and other chronic conditions.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong are ancient Chinese practices that integrate conscious slow movements, meditation, and breathing. It is a gentle, low-impact moving meditation that can help your posture, circulation, and balance. It improves mental and physical health, promotes well-being, and longevity.
